New York Autoflowers Seed Bank Store Celebrates Grand Opening

Offering specialized cannabis seeds and growing supplies

New York Autoflowers marked its grand opening in Schenectady on Thursday, bringing a unique offering to the heart of downtown. Located at 34 Jay Street, this new shop is set to become a hub for cannabis enthusiasts and growers in the Northeast.

Specializing in cannabis seed strains that are well-suited for the Northeast climate, New York Autoflowers provides a variety of seeds and growing equipment tailored to both novice and experienced cultivators. The shop’s selection includes photoperiod strains that are timed to finish flowering in late September or early October, ensuring that growers can harvest before the first frost. Additionally, their autoflowering strains are particularly appealing to outdoor farmers, as they allow for multiple harvests—up to two or three per growing season.

Seed packs are available in various sizes, ranging from a single seed to packs of 50, catering to the needs of all types of growers. Alongside seeds, New York Autoflowers offers a comprehensive range of growing supplies, including indoor tent kits in various sizes, perfect for those who prefer to cultivate their plants indoors.

In addition to products, New York Autoflowers is committed to education and community engagement. The shop offers classes and consultations on a variety of topics, including autoflower genetics, smell mitigation, growing techniques, and processing. These resources are designed to support growers at every stage of their cultivation journey, from seed to harvest.

“As a native Schenectadian, born and raised, I’m very excited to share my passion for cannabis and love for growing with my community,” said Joe Glasby, the owner of New York Autoflowers. Glasby’s enthusiasm for cannabis and commitment to local growers is evident in the shop’s offerings and educational services.

For those unable to visit the shop in person, New York Autoflowers provides an online shopping option. Since cannabis seeds are legal to possess, sell, and ship, customers can conveniently order seeds and growing equipment through the New York Autoflowers website and have them delivered directly to their doorsteps.

The grand opening of New York Autoflowers has been met with excitement from the local community. “We are so pleased to welcome New York Autoflowers to downtown Schenectady,” said Maureen Neufeld, executive director of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation. “They join a vibrant community of businesses that are a driving force for the local economy and a boon to residents and visitors alike.”

New York Autoflowers is open to the public from Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 11 a.m., making it accessible to both weekday and weekend visitors. Additionally, the shop plans to participate in special events throughout the year, further integrating itself into the downtown Schenectady community.

As New York Autoflowers begins its journey in Schenectady, it aims to be more than just a retail space—it aspires to be a cornerstone for the local growing community, offering not just products, but also the knowledge and support needed to cultivate successful and rewarding cannabis gardens.
